Mr. Nazarene
I am not a real person. I am a persona or conglomeration of a traditional Nazarene male. I believe in the ancient creeds of the Church, the Agreed Statement of Belief and Articles of Faith of the Church of the Nazarene. I’m not a Legalist or Fundamentalist, but I do believe what the Bible teaches (I like my NIV!). I will share with you what I understand to be the traditional stance of the Church of the Nazarene from what I hear from my preacher on Sunday mornings and what I read in Holiness Today, the Standard and other Nazarene publications. I am open to listen to new ideas as long as we can discuss them civilly. It’s very good to meet you!

Mrs. Nazarene
I am not a real person either. I am also a persona or conglomeration of traditional Nazarenes found around the world. I’m a bit conservative but will listen to new ideas as long as it doesn’t turn into a heated debate or a fight (I really don’t like confrontation!). I truly love everybody, including those who I would consider “sinners.” I just want to see everyone come to Jesus and live Christ-like lives. I will share with you what I feel you need from my perspective. I will also share with you good articles and posts that I find on the Internet (still trying to figure this newfangled computer out, though!) I may also post a poem or song that I have come across. I’m pleased to meet you. Bless your heart!

Pastor Daryl
I am a real person! I am a fifth-generation Nazarene (not that that will get me into Heaven) and am an ordained elder in the Church of the Nazarene. I have pastored two Churches of the Nazarene and been a pastoral staff member on 1 other. I have also been a Youth Director at an United Church of Christ church and a Youth Pastor at a Baptist General Conference church. Additionally, I served as pulpit-supply pastor for a Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod. For about the last ten years I have been an active-duty Army Chaplain for the Church of the Nazarene, where I have also pastored military congregations from about 75 to nearly 1000 attendees.
.
I have a heart for missions, social action and evangelism believing that all of these are a part of the Missio Dei (Mission of God). My goal with this site (as stated on the homepage) is to offer positive information about the Church of the Nazarene for those who may be considering attending a “brick and mortar” church, and to provide articles, sermons and resources that can be an encouragement and blessing to you. As with Mr. & Mrs. Nazarene, I’m not here to debate what we believe as a denomination, but to offer the traditional Nazarene position to help you know us better. I’m really glad that you have stumbled across iChurch of the Nazarene and hope that something you read here will be an encouragement to you!
